Calculator inputs and browser storage

The adrenal washout, lung nodule doubling time, organ volume and rotator cuff healing index calculators process inputs in your browser. Their calculation code does not send your inputs or results to our servers; they are sent only if you choose to include them in a feedback report. The development BMI template saves form values in your browser’s local storage; you can remove those values by resetting the form or clearing site data.

The site also uses a service worker to cache site resources for faster loading. You can clear cached resources through your browser settings.

Analytics and hosting

We use Umami and Cloudflare Web Analytics for cookieless, privacy-friendly website usage analytics. These services collect usage and performance information, such as pages visited, referring sites and browser or device information. We do not configure analytics to collect calculator inputs or results.

Our hosting and analytics providers receive technical information needed to deliver and measure the site, such as network request information. Browser storage used by the site is separate from analytics cookies.

Feedback reports

When you send a problem report or suggestion, we receive what you write, the page you were on, your role and email address if you give them, and, if you leave that option ticked, the calculator's current inputs and result. Reports are stored as private issues in our code repository on GitHub and are used only to fix and improve the site. We use your email address only to reply about your report.

The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to help block automated submissions. Cloudflare processes technical information needed to perform this verification.
